While Disney heroines are typically berated for not being feminist enough (sleeping beauty did need a man to save her, after all), they are undeniably a part of pop-culture and a part of little-girls lives. So many girls say they want to be a princess, and there is merit to the thinking and to the idolization of the princesses, and other Disney heroines. For example, I have heard numerous little girls say they want to read books “to have a library as big as Princess Belle’s!”
Artist Isaiah Stephens has given us the best of both worlds, taking both the princesses and the non-princesses of Disney and depicted them as some of the most notable pop-culture female characters. These characters are the perfect blend of kick-ass and pretty princess. Check them out below!
